David Felt joined Hilburn & Lein, CPAs as a Certified Public Accountant in 2014. Love of numbers, math, accounting, and problem-solving make David a natural fit for our tax department. David appreciates the opportunity to piece together number puzzles, whether it involves a tax return, financial statements, or payroll, he enjoys the challenge of putting numbers together in a format that is useful. He has always enjoyed the science of math and working with numbers. After spending two years on a church mission in Hamburg, Germany, he returned to his home state of Idaho where he graduated from BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in German. David became a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor in 2015.
David currently serves on a local Boy Scout Troop Committee and enjoys participating in Boy Scouts related activities such as camping and being outdoors. David earned his Eagle Scout award as a youth, previously served as a merit badge counselor, and completed the Boy Scouts of America adult training course known as Wood Badge. A lover of music, and an accomplished musician, David plays both the piano and violin. He has played with the Elko (Nevada) Community Orchestra, the Idaho State Civic Symphony (Pocatello, Idaho), the BYU-Idaho University Orchestra, and the Idaho Falls Youth Symphony.
David currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and two sons.
